Well another week has come and gone. Sorry we have not updated as often but between Home, Work, Hospital, VBS, 5 other kids etc. there has been no free time. Maria continues to be a terrible patent. She will not tell you what she wants or needs. We have had trouble even getting her to speak she prefers to just nod.
She is walking much better when we can get her to cooperate. She would prefer to just lay in bed and do nothing, she does not even want to color or read a book.
For the actual update. She continues to improve daily. They removed the drain lines yesterday and took the staples out of her chest. We thought we would go home today but over night her Oxygen Sats dropped again and her heart rate went up. So they changed medications a bit and need to watch her. We met with our primary cardiologist today and he feels everything is fine and this is normal. We have a meeting with the surgeon and other cardiologist first thing Saturday to review all of her medications and options for getting everything under control.
Please pray that Maria will work with us and will have a will to get out of here. Pray that the doctors have wisdom in prescribing the correct medications for her. Pray for us to have patience as we deal with Maria and with sitting in this hospital for so long.
Today we found out that Zack the 11 year old we have been praying for had to have his leg amputated. This was the only hope of saving him. They are optimistic that this will give him a good chance, we spoke to his parents today. He has a long road ahead of him.
Thanks for standing with us in prayer.

Thanks for the update. God is good and He will finish the good work He has begun in Maria. Praise He name.
ReplyDelete"continues to be a terrible patient..." that is funny! Can't be easy that's for sure! Praise the Lord for His continued healing...and soon to be discharge too! That is wonderful news.
ReplyDeleteThank you also for Zack's update. Praise the Lord his life was spared, though he lost a leg. God has plans for him. I just think of Brett and Samuel from New Day and their incredible wills.
