Hello from Beijing

Flights were good.  Trip from Boise to Seattle we had a pilot named Fred and a co-pilot named Barney.  They kept referring to the flight attendants as Wilma and Betty.  The flight from Seattle to Beijing was bumpy and hard to sleep due to small isles and lots of people moving about.

We arrived at Beijing at 4:45 pm and went through customs and got our luggage.   We were met by a driver who spoke no English but he called George on the cell phone so I could talk to him.   It took forever to get to the hotel with traffic and it was raining to boot.   George met us at the hotel and immediately recognized us from our previous trip and ran over to hug us.

We made a quick trip to the grocery store to pick up water and other supplies and went to bed.   Slept good from 9 pm to 3 am and then woke but managed to get back to sleep.  Trying to get your body fulled into being 13 hours off from home is hard.  As I write this it is 5 pm back home and 6 am Friday here, my body is saying this does not work but I will hopefully adjust quickly.

Now off to breakfast and then site seeing.   George said “Same things as last time”  Should be cloudy today but hopefully no rain.  Will post photos later from Forbidden City etc.
