Day one has gone very well.
Shaun is playing and loves to venture out and explore. He has explored the room. He has banged every toy into something to see
what happens. He loved walking around
the hotel and the walk to the hotel next door for dinner. He is not taking his bottle like the
paperwork said but is eating everything else.
He is so active and so busy. Life
is going to be so interesting.
The paperwork said he likes taking a bath but not
really. A bath here is a sponge
bath. He did not like the tub or the
water but survived. He is in fresh PJ’s
and having a great evening.
Tomorrow is the adoption registration which will make him
officially ours. Tomorrow afternoon is free
time and then Wednesday we take the bullet train to Zhumedian (Chew Ma Dian) City
his home town to apply for his passport.
Some adventures from the day, I headed to McDonalds to pick
up lunch for Robin and I. It is about a
1 mile hike to there and having to cross several streets. Coming back I managed to catch a cab. I
handed the guy my card with the hotel address and he is reading it and nearly
drove into a bus. We stopped just inches from the side of the bus. Made it back to the hotel safe and sound and
cab fare was about $1.15, so not bad.
Dinner was at the noodle house. Met a very nice gentleman that spoke English and
he helped us with ordering and visited with us.
He works for a US company but is from here.
We are so blessed and have see God's hands at work in so many ways during this trip.
