The Blessings of Adoption

There have been a couple of times during this process that people have unexpectedly blessed us beyond belief.   Yesterday was one of those days.   A day when we were rushing around preparing things for the trip and for Shaun to come home.  A day when we were checking our lists and checking them twice.   Then out of the blue, a phone call and a visit and blessings that we never expected.

Friday evening we were visiting with some new friends and talked about adoption a lot.  In the course of conversation we decided that adoption is many things.  It is a ministry, it is a  life style, it is the gospel lived out before your eyes, it is a doorway to tell others about the love and grace of God, it is getting a front row seat to watch God work through the life of a child.  Adoption is many things and it is hard for us to imagine what our family would look like without the blessing of adoption.  It has helped define who we are as individuals and as a family in a great way.
