On the progress side, Joshua is making daily progress. He is more tolerant of his daddy as long as mommy is not there. He has his moments of eating better but unless Shiyan offers it he will generally reject it. But we will take progress in any way we can get it.

In other news one of our girls has always had some trust issues. She was the oldest when adopted and they say for every day in an orphanage it takes a day with a family to overcome it. She was adopted at 4.5 years old and is now 10 so we are beyond that point. One of the trust issues has been in learning to swim. She did not want to give up her arm bands and always feared we would let her sink. Well yesterday we were at the pool and I asked if she wanted to remove her arm bands and try to swim. She hesitated but said OK. Her big sister encouraged her a bit and within a few minutes she was swimming. She allowed me to throw her into the water, she jumped in etc. We had to go back to the pool today so she could work on her skills. Amazing progress here. I had feared that she would be 18 and still needing a floaty.
We are thankful for all of this progress and look forward to much more.
Today was a big day as Joshua received his first hearing aid (BAHA) It was interesting to see how he reacted when they turned it on. he seemed to love it but was confused a little by the sound. He has trouble with some words like Shaun sounds like Don when he says it. He did wonderfully with it today and did not bother the head band.

So here goes another great week. We will see what surprises God has in store for us this week. We will post video of the Baha activation.
