Wow it has been 4 years already

4 years ago on March 21st, Robin, Andrew, Aaron, Stephen, Laura and Forrest were all headed to Shenyang to meet Shiyan Wenyi for the first time. It was a long day of delays and drama but we finally made it to Shenyang. Check out the actual posts from the trip at www.journeytoshiyan.blogspot.com for a little while it looked like Aaron and Dad would have to find other transportation due to a little ticketing issue, a day Aaron will never forget! Lesson learned when in China never loose your ticket stub.




Other than being tired and hungry she was such a trooper. We were to have met her at noon and finally got there at 4:30. When we walked into the room she spotted Robin and said Mommy and then said Laura. Within a few minutes she was making friends with all of us.




It has been a great 4 years and it has been such a blessing to see Shiyan blossom and grow. She has become so strong and so full of life. For those of you that don't know Shiyan means Strong and beautiful and Wenyi means Bold and courageous and she is all of that and so much more.
