We were blessed with beautiful weather today, it was in the upper 60's. We were able to go outside and let the girls ride their scooters. Maria did not like the scooter but loved the tricycle. She has a little trouble peddeling but is getting the hang of it. Her favorite thing to say this week is "Come Ear" She calls Robin Mommy-A and me Daddy-A. The has the Itilian thing going on. She is adjusting so well. Last weekend she was able to speak with one of the people that she knew in China. She was excited to see them but would not speak Manderin with them. This evening she was able to talk on Skype with her best friend from New Day. Kevin was adopted today and is there with his new family. We are so excited for him and look forward to him getting home to the US. He will be living close enough to us that we can take Maria to see him. We are also excited as other friends of ours are in China and will be meeting their new daughter in just hours. We can hardly wait for Kevin and Lilly Kate to get home so we can get to know them and watch them grow and blossom. It is such fun to see how she is adapting and continues to blossom daily. We will keep the updates coming.

I'm so glad I was able to connect you and the Ferrills all those months ago...it's just WONDERFUL that you live close enough to one another to get the kids together every now and then. I remember when both Maria and Kevin arrived at NewDay and how they were pretty much best friends from the start. So PRICELESS that you are able to keep that connection as your children grow. Such a blessing to both the kids, and their parents!!
ReplyDeleteCUTE video of Maria on her bike. I'm jealous of that "NO SNOW" sweatshirt weather that you have. Oh how I can't wait for spring! However, we have managed to enjoy some great cross country skiing lately, so it helps to make our Minnesota winters a little more bearable!
We just got our I-800 preliminary approval the other day and our agency suspects our TA to be here by mid March or so. However, if you think of it, please pray that we are able to travel the end of March, as that is when our kids are on spring break, so it will help so much with the homework load. We're certainly making our requests known to God, while trusting at the same time that he will bring us to NewDay and our Khloe in HIS perfect timing!
