Memorial Day and Happy Birthday

This weekend we traveled to Ky to see family. It was great to get to visit with everyone. We were able to join in the Memory Days Parade, do some fishing and just enjoy general family time.

Friday night we joined the local fire department for a BBQ dinner. It was great seeing old friends and watching the girls play with the other kids. They loved Sparky the Fire Dog.



Saturday we went to the Memorial Day Parade. It was a lot of fun and the girls loved it.



Sunday we had a family dinner and then fishing with my brother. The girls loved fishing and all caught several fish. Laura had a great little bass, uncle Bob had to hold it for her. Big brother and his girl friend also joined in the fun with us.



Now this week we celebrate Maria's 6th birthday on Thursday. Last year at this time we were preparing for open heart surgery and it is so good to see how wonderfully she is doing this year.

Happy Birthday Maria. We are truly blessed to have you, your sisters and your brothers in our family.
