Progress and delays

Well we have been making progress on the adoption front. Last week we received our USCIS approval to adopt internationally. Sent that off for authentication and finally have it back.

A few weeks ago we send in a couple of items to the State Department for authentication and they found a problem on a document that had been missed in review so we rushed around last week to get a replacement document to the Ky Secretary of State and sealed and then off to the courier in DC. Cleared State Department and off to Embassy for the Chinese seal. Courier went to pick that up today and as of this week they no longer accept checks to the Consulate, which is who we were told to make checks to. So long story / short is we are back on track thanks to a wonderful courier and the documents should be in the express mail to us Friday. We will add these to the stacks of other documents and send off for final review and translation.

We are both so ready to get this paperwork over and behind us. Maybe we can DTC in early July if all goes well. PRAY that we get reviewed quickly in China and that we can go get Maria home to be with her new family.
